Step One: Do Your Research.
This is probably the biggest part of finding this website. I hope to reduce the amount of
research you have to do. I have spent a lot of time reading and researching websites
and books on multi level marketing, home business start ups, the cosmetic industry,
website building, home party plans, network marketing, work at home moms, etc.,
and tried to bring it all here together in one space to help you build your business.
I will try to condense all your reading time by me sharing all the research I have found on
how to make a network marketing business work. You can truly research your business to
death! Trust me, I think I may have done that once or twice, and I don't want you to have
to go through that. I have spent months and months, reading, researching, and then reading
some more. Your time could be better used in building your home party plan business then in
just reading about building a business. I want you to start your home party plan business
as soon as possible.
Step Two: Pick A Company You Trust And A Product You Love!
Have you every used a product for a long time and just loved everything about it?
You know everything about this product line. This is the product you should look into selling.
If you love what you are selling people can tell that. It is very hard to get people to believe
you as a sales person if you don't love your own product. Mom, go through your cabinets,
what products do you love, do they have a home party plan business setup? If they do, go for it.
Home Party Plan Businesses are perfect for the work at home moms (WAHM)! You can work
while the kids are napping, playing, sitting in your lap. Make your work a game for them. No
more going to work and missing the babies first steps or first words. Start your own home
based business. There is lots of helpful information at the many WAHM websites for mothers
working from home. They offer great information as well as wonderful support for the work
at home mom.
Once you decide on a product you love, get to know that product inside and out,
know what it is made of, how it is made, it's benefits over the competitors. If you
do this you have a HUGE advantage over the other independent consultants that
are just in this for the quick buck they think they are going to make. You will be more
believeable if you know what your talking about and not making things up on the fly.
Read the fine print for any company you are thinking of joining. All have specific
things they will not let you do in your own business. Be ready to follow the contract
or have your application pulled.
Step Three: Search Out The Experts.
Whenever possible go to the people who know. Sometimes this will be your upline
in your network marketing group, sometimes this might be looking for advice online.
Sometimes if you can afford it,it means hiring someone else who has the expertise
in the area you are looking for.
some extra money to get the job done right. If you don't know html code or if you really
don't have a lot of spare time to spend, this could be some of the best money you could
spend on your home party plan business.
If you want someone to build your website for you, you can look in the Yellow Pages
under Desktop Publishing. Look online for a web designer under Web Designers or Web
Page Designing. Do your research carefully on this.
Designing your own web page is not terribly hard these days, but, it is very time
Advertising
Deciding how to advertise your home party plan business? Even though we
are not allowed to sell our products online. We certainly can sell ourselves online.
What do I mean by sell yourself? Get your name known on the web, start blogs,
write articles, join forums, there are many ways to "sell yourself" without breaking
any rules of your direct sales company.
Google has the greatest section on advertising you will find anywhere. Go to their
small business section and you will find idea after idea how to use advertising to your
advantage. They have a spot called Google University, it is a must read. They are probably
the experts in online advertising and you trust them to tell you the truth.
Look for FREE advertising, there is tons out there, you just have to do your research.
Think; blogs, forums, community service organizations, and product review sites. Business

business cards and it is so easy to do.
Your home company probably is affiliated with a company that will make you business
cards, but generally they are quite expensive.
Your Upline
Can be a fountain of information. Most have been doing this for many years. Some of what
they tell you may be out dated and you may just want to ignore it but they have many
women under them that have just started out and can share some great stuff with you.
You have to find your comfort level. What are you willing to try and what am I just not
comfortable doing. Over time your comfort level will increase and you will be willing to try
things you were not in the very beginning.
Step Four: Start A Seperate Bank Account For Your Business.
You have to be able to seperate your personal money from the business money, not only
will this save you when tax time comes around, this will just make book keeping much
easier. You don't need to start a business account as that will cost you a lot more money.
They will let you open a personal account for your small business, if not find a new bank.
Step Five: Start Building Your Home Party Plan Business.
This after all is what you are working towards right? Well, no better time then the
present to get out there and start building your home party plan business, time to
start meeting people and building that network marketing business. But, you just told
me not to do things like my upline! True, but there is still foot work to be done, people
to meet and products to show. But do it smarter then the others. Don't run around all
day trying to meet everybody you see.
You need to have people all ready lined up who want you to come and see them. People
who have called you or emailed you and asked you to come out and host a party for them.
You want people who want to join your team and have called you and asked you how to
start a Home Party Plan Business different from how the others have tried. You want people
searching out your name and number and coming to you for advice. That is how you build
a real network marketing business. These are the people you want to spend your time on,
because they have already let you know, they want what you have, their own Home Party
Plan Business.
